GENERAL TERMS AND CONDITIONS OF USE OF SERVICES PROVIDED BY SONORA ELE LANGUAGE AWARENESS AND OF USE OF THE WEBSITE WWW.SONORAELE.COM

These Terms and Conditions shall apply to all contracts and agreements of service concerning Spanish as a Foreign Language classes provided by Sonora ELE Language Awareness S.L.


1. Definitions:

"Sonora ELE" means Sonora ELE Language Awareness S.L, a Spanish company with company tax code CIF B86393998 and a registered office located at C/Indulgencia, nº 8, 1ºA, 28027, Madrid. "Student" means any physical or legal person who contracts Spanish teaching services from Sonora ELE.


2. Classes:

All Spanish classes will be conducted via the e-learning software platform available on www.sonoraele.com. Sonora ELE will adapt all its lessons to the needs and level of Spanish of each Student. The level will be determined by Sonora ELE by means of a test. The results will be sent by email to the Student, who must declare that he/she has read and accepts the outcome of the assessment.


3. Registration and payment methods:

Registration for courses must be done on the website www.sonoraele.com. To complete registration, the Student must agree to all terms and conditions laid out here and pay in advance for the full amount of classes the Student wishes to take. To complete payment, Sonora ELE will send the Student a link to PayPal (Europe) S.à r.l. & Cie, S.C.A. ("PayPal Europe"), where he/she must select the option "Email Payment".


4. Teaching material:

The price of the course and/or classes includes the following: number of hours contracted with a teacher (the lessons are given in a virtual classroom via videoconference); access to Moodle, the e-learning software platform, and material adapted to each Student’s level; a written summary of each class with the queries and mistakes that have come up during the lesson (this summary will be made by the teacher, and will be available to the Student to print, save or download for their own records); the possibility of downloading a recording of the class in mp3; and all the necessary help and guidance the Student may need to create his/her own ePortfolio. Certain courses and/or classes may require the Student to use an additional textbook. Should Sonora ELE decide that it is needed, it will provide the Student with the same. The Student must then refund Sonora ELE the full price (including shipping cost if necessary) before the start of the course and/or classes.


5. Cancelling and rescheduling courses and/or classes:

All courses and package lessons purchased are valid for six months from the payment date. If after six months there should be any lessons remaining, the Student will not be entitled to a refund. The time and date of the classes shall be agreed upon by Sonora ELE and the Student. If the Student wishes to reschedule a class, he/she must inform Sonora ELE via email (info@sonora.com) at least 48 hours prior to the scheduled lesson time. Sonora ELE and the Student must then agree upon a new time and date for the class which is mutually convenient. Sonora ELE will do its best to reschedule the lesson for the time and date suggested by the Student, but is under no obligation to do so. Should the Student not turn up for a class, or cancel less than 48 hours before the scheduled lesson, he/she will not be entitled to another class nor to a refund. In the event Sonora ELE experiences technical problems at the time of the scheduled lesson, the Student will be entitled to make up the missed class. Sonora ELE and the Student must then agree upon a new time and date for the class which is mutually convenient. Sonora ELE will do its utmost to reschedule the lesson for the time and date suggested by the Student, but is under no obligation to do so.


6. Non-payment:

Should the Student not pay for the full amount of the course, Sonora ELE reserves the right to cancel the Student’s registration.

The courses given by Sonora ELE are divided into different levels in accordance with the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages. Classes taught by Sonora ELE Language Awareness do not grant the student an official qualification.


8. Applicable legislation and jurisdiction:

Sonora ELE Language Awareness is an established company registered in Spain. Both the use of services and of the website www.sonoraele.com are subject to these terms and conditions. Anything not mentioned in the same will be subject to Spanish legislation. Both parties submit to the jurisdiction of the courts of the city of Madrid (Spain), expressly waiving any other jurisdiction that may correspond.
